Unplanned absenteeism mostly affect to our organization.We reducing this while giving attendance bonus & providing medical,elder & children care facility,Introducing bank & shopping facilities in our plants an avoiding it.
Mostly we give some benefit to our people. We find what are their basic needs and we every time tried to full fill them.
Ex- some of our plants we are not work Saturdays,we introduce shift working,we giving them production incentive,we provide them free meal & transports etc.
Hi Dinuka, The issue of absenteeism is one of the most issue to Improved productivity in any company. We can only mitigate this. couldn't full control this. Am I correct ?
I agree with you we have to various kind of innovation & motivation programs to minimize absenteeism. For example in 1996 to 2001 many men deserted and absent from army.After government and senior army officers introduced some traning and motivation programs, providing various kinds of facilities such to them in 2006 this absent reduced by 90 percent.

Don’t you think that the absenteeism can somewhat be reduced by absorbing employees as permanent staff in garment industry?

When absenteeism go out of daily absent margin level in production floor cannot achieve hourly production targets.
